What Is A Shrub
A shrub is a traditional style of syrup made by slowly infusing fresh fruit, botanicals, sugar and apple cider vinegar.
Originally created as a way to preserve seasonal fruit, shrubs have been used for centuries to create drinks with bright acidity, depth and natural balance.
Unlike standard syrups, shrubs bring a more layered flavour profile. The combination of fruit sweetness, botanical notes and the gentle sharpness of vinegar creates a refined balance that works beautifully in cocktails, alcohol-free serves and simple sodas.

Meet the Founder
Shrub Club was founded by Dominique Maxwell, following 15 years working across hospitality - from chain restaurants to premium independent dining and cocktail bars.
She later went on to open and run her own restaurant and cocktail bar, Bloom Farnham, where drinks played a central role in the overall experience. Driven by a passion for cocktails, but often frustrated by the artificial additives, preservatives and e-numbers found in many syrups and drink ingredients, Dominique began developing her own shrubs using fresh fruit, botanicals and apple cider vinegar.
Originally created for Bloom’s cocktail menu, these shrubs quickly became a signature part of the drinks offering - known for their balance, depth, consistency and ability to elevate both classic and contemporary serves.
Dominique continued refining the recipes with a clear vision: to create a product that could bring the same quality, creativity and operational ease to hospitality venues in a more accessible and scalable way, whilst being eco-conscious.
Shrub Club is the result! combining traditional preservation techniques with a fresh, modern approach to flavour, service and sustainability.
